Introduction to Ethics

This course deals with the ethical duties of an Insurance Adjuster as applicable to the insurance profession, stressing many characteristics of behavior that make ethics the highest standard as opposed to law which is the minimum standard. We also cover the Insurance Industry Code of Ethics, examine the need for insurance regulation of state insurance law under the Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act, review laws which govern ethical conduct and discuss examples of ethical situations Adjusters may become involved in which could produce adverse reactions.
